After buying the postcards we continued our ride to Sion. The road from
Arolla to Sion is a very nice road to ride. A well maintained road with
many nice bends and hairpins. The BMW's are made for this kind of roads
with enough bottom power to accelerate out of the hairpins with power
to spare.

Paul's Honda was doing fine too
(but I would not swap my BMW for the Honda)
At six o'clock in the afternoon, we arrived back at the campsite and
while Erika prepared our dinner with the groceries we bought in Sion,
Paul and I went to the glacier again. We also found another nice gravel
path for some offroading and had a very good time playing with the bikes.

This is so much fun....
While we were pretending to be enduro riders, Erika had our dinner ready
and back at the campsite we had a tasty meal.
The evening we spend, as usual, in the bar of the hotel.
Sunday, August 1, 1982
We got up at a quarter to ten in the morning and after breakfast, we
started packing and stowed our tent and other luggage away on the bikes.

Erika was preparing our breakfast
We exchanged addresses with Sienus and left this nice campsite in Arolla
to go to our next destination, Ried-Brig.

Paul, busy folding up his blanket
The weather is nice and via Sion, Sierre and Brig we rode to Ried-Brig.
At five in the afternoon we arrived on camping Tropic and found a burnt
building. There had been a big fire, two weeks ago.

To our surprise, we met some people from Holland on the camping, the parents
of a friend. It was very warm so we were happy with the cold lemonade they
offered us.
