Firts we had lunch together and at half past one, we went to the camping where the
Isle of Wight rally of the British Motorcycle Society was.

The rally site
There were loads of very niceand interesting bikes. Some bikes that I not only had
never seen before but did not even know they existed.

A nice Triumph with a sidecar

A panther 650 cc single

A very nice Norton Commando
First we walked around the rally sire to watch bikes and to chat and then we
joined a tour with about ten (British) bikes around the Isle of Wight.
First, we went to Alum bay and the Needles, some cliffs that look impressive.
Aftera walk on the beach we took the cable way up to the top.

A picture that Paul made of me (bad timing, I was just adjusting my glasses)
It was very nice that we could leave our helmets at the car-park attendants office
so we did not have to carry them with us all the time.

Our bikes at the parking
After sightseeing at the Needles we got on our bikes and went to Calbourne Mill, an
very nice old watermill. Inside you could see how they worked with all the old machines
and in the big garden you could get something to eat or drink and watch the peacocks
and other birds in the garden.

In the sheds, next to the mill, there was an exhibition of all kinds of old things
like old cooking-stoves, prams, pans, tools and a lot more. They even had an old
steam engine in the garden.

While we had a cup of tea, we had some fun about a male and a female duck that
"liked eachother a lot" in the garden.
