With some collegues from the Fortis IT department (the bank I used
to work for) I flew from Rotterdam Airport to Seppe, a small airport
in the South of the netherlands and back to Rotterdam.
In the morning before the flight, I had been working in our office in
Rotterdam, a very modern office tower on Blaak 555.

Blaak 555 in Rotterdam
Normaly I went there by train but because we had the flight with the
collegues and a dinner after that, I came on the Sportster.
Fortunately, our office on the Blaak in Rotterdam has a special
motorcycle parking garage where I could park my bike next to some other
collegues bikes.

From our office at the Blaak, I went to our office in Alexanderpolder,
also in Rotterdam for a business meeting and then our whole department
went to Rotterdam Airport.
Rolf, one of my collegues, is a pilot at "Vliegclub Rotterdam" and he
arranged two planes and an extra pilot for us.
We went to the tarmac where the planes were parked and split up in two
groups. One group for each airplane.

After we all fastened our seatbelts and had some instructions, we took of
from Rotteram Airport and flew over Roterdam to the South. From the
cockpit of such a small airplane, the view on an airport is much
different then from the window of a big Boeing 747.....

Taking of from Rotterdam Airport
After both airplanes where in the air, we flew in formation to our
destination, Seppe Airport. Seppe Airport is an airport for small
planes on the freeway between Roosendaal and Breda. It has a nice
restaurant and an interesting museum with old airplanes.

For the first part of our trip, I was sitting in the backseat of the plane
and I did not like that very much. The view was not so good and (I think)
because of that, I got a little airsick.

Fortunately, when we landed in Seppe, something to eat and drink and solid ground
beneath my feet cured my airsickness very soon.

"Our" planes at Seppe Airport
After the coffee it was time to take off again. Luckily I was sitting in the
co-pilot chair now with a great view. From Seppe, we flew to the North-West
in the direction of "Hoek van Holland" and then we flew back to Rotterdam,
using the "Nieuwe Waterweg" as our guide.
While we were flying over the Nieuwe Waterweg, Rolf asked me if I would like
to fly for a while and looking at the instruments and at the Nieuwe Waterweg
I flew the plane back to Rotterdam. Near Rotterdam Rolf took over agian.

While we were on our way back to Rotterdam Airport, we flew over Rotterdam
agian and this time I had a splendid view on the city. I could clearly see
the Erasmus bridge over the river Maas and our office too.

Over Rotterdam, we flew back to Rotterdam Airport and after we landed and the
planes were taken care off, we went to a restaurant in Rotterdam to have dinner
and to chat and drink together.

After a very nice afternoon and evening, I got on my Harley Sportster for
my ride home. I loved flying but when I was riding my bike on the freeway,
hearing the Harley sound and feeling the wind, I new that riding a good bike
is one of the nicest things you can do with your clothes on.
