Another iconic London highlight are the red dubbeldekker busses. They are part of the normal street scenery but for non British people very special.

From Westminster Abbey I walked to parliament Square where the Houses of parliament are and the 17:33 21-2-2015Clock tower with the Big Ben (The name Big Ben is just for the clock, not for the tower. In 2012, the "Clock Tower" was renamed "Elizabeth Tower" to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II).

At the south-west end of the Palace of Westminster I saw the Victoria Tower. This tower was built as a "fireproof repository for books and documents", because in 1834, a fire destroyed most of the records of the House of Commons.

Through Parliament Street, I walked to Downing Street. At Downing Street 10 is the official residence of the Prime Minister of Great Britian.

Past the Horse Guards, I walked to Trafalgat Square.

I wandered a little more through the center of London and took some more pictures before I went back to my bike.

After I returned at the parking where my bike was parked, I went through the outskirts of London to go back to the farm but first I stopped at a store to buy some motorcycle magazines.

On my way back to the farm, I visited some motorcycle shops to get some English motorcycle brochures and I went to the Wimpy fast food restaurant for cheeseburgers.

When I came back at the farm, my sister had just arrived and it was nice to see her again.

I had planned to ride home today but I did not feel very well (I had to go to the bathroom more then what is possible while on the road....).

Instead of riding home today, I planned to go the next day, on Saturday. My bike was ready. Most of my luggage was in my bag on the back of the bike.

At half past seven in the morning, I left Stonehouse Farm to catch the eleven o'clock ferry to Vlissingen. Although I was not feeling very well, I decided to leave anyway because I wanted to see my girlfriend today, before she went on holiday with her parents......

After an hour and a half, I arrived at the ferry terminal in Sheerness and bought a ticket (15.50 British Pounds ) and had to wait until half past ten to board the ferry boat.

My ticket to Vlissingen

After I left the bike safely secured on the car deck, I went to the restaurant to get something to eat and also ate two bananas that I had with me.

With my stomach filled, I started exploring the ship and enjoyed the views at the North Sea.

In the shop on board of the Olau Finn, I bought a new film for my photo camera and took some more pictures.

While we were getting close to the Dutch coast, it started to get dark and I took some pictures in the late afternoon light.

Late in the afternoon

At seven o'clock in the afternoon, I passed Dutch customs without a problem and at the first gas station on the freeway, I filled the tank of my Yamaha again.

At half past eight, I parked my bike again in front of my parents house after a very nice trip to England.
