There was an American GoldWing rider who towed a camper-trailer behind
his bike. He even had a refrigerator ! With this outfit, he was traveling
all over Europe.

In the evening a good jazzband played at the party in the in the basement
of the sports hall and I had a very nice evening.

Today is the day of the big parade. About fivehundred GoldWings will ride
to a wine cellar in the city Luxembourg.
The road past the treffen area was closed by the police so all fivehundred
GoldWings could leave in one long row of shiny steel, plastic and chrome.
Because of the problem with the fairing, I could not join the tour but it
was nice to see all the bikes passing by and taking pictures.

In the evening there was another party with a very good Rock'n Roll band,
the "Blues Busters". With the prize ceremony, GoldWing Club Holland won the
prices for most members present at the treffen. The German club won second
price.

After breakfast and a shower at the sports hall, I walked around the
campsite to admire the bikes. There were some very nice and special bikes
present.

Today is the last day of the treffen and everybody is going home again.
The parkinglot was filled with loaded bikes, trailers attached and ready
to go home.

I left at about twelve o'clock with some other members of GoldWIng Club
Holland. We went to Arlon and then choose the freeway via Bastogne and
Liege to Maastricht in the Netherlands. In Eysden, near Maastricht, we
filled our tanks. From Luxembourg all the way to Maastricht, I was riding
together with Sieneke, Frans, Egbert and Ben. From Maastricht until
Rijswijk, close to The Hague, I was riding together with Ben (he
rides a GL1200) and the last part I was alone.
It was a very interesting trip. I liked the friendship that I experienced
on the treffen and it was realy exciting to ride on the freeway with a
group of GoldWings. Unfortunately my GL1000 had those problems with the
fairing that I found out about in Luxembourg and later I found out there
was something very wrong with the engine too so this was the last trip I
made with this GoldWing .
