After my arrival in Larochette on Saturday evening, the wether is getting
better and I enjoy the wonderfull roads in the hills of Luxembourg.
Near Larochette, is a big rock they call the "Champignon" because it looks
like a big mushroom. After a nice trip on the tarmac I have to drive on a small
dirtroad to get at it. It's fun!

The Champignon
When I am making pictures of my Benelli in front of the Champignon, to guy's
who live nearby, arrive on a Honda XL125 off-road bike. They are just playing
around with it and the let me take a ride on it. A historical moment, my
first ride on an over 50cc bike with me in control ;-)

Being used to the "power" of my 50cc two stroke, the pulling power of this
125cc four stroke is spectaculair for me and I have a great time playing
with this FUN bike. After a while they drive on and I get on my Benelli
again and drive back to Auf Kengert.
We came to this camping often and had some local friends ,people from Luxembourg.
Sometimes we as kids went with them to visit places and sometimes my parents
would take these kids with us on a trip. Mirjam, one of the girls, liked
my bike.

Because I planned to do some dirtroad driving, I asked my father to take
my wide handlebars in the car and that made my bike better suitable for
trips in the forrest but ofcourse I made a lot of road trips too.
One day I made a trip in the neighbourhood of Larochette. With the slow
50cc I had to be very carefull because drivers in Luxembourg like to
drive fast and the roads are very narrow but it is 100% fun to drive
on these twisty roads, going up and down the hills, so different from
the flat roads in Holland.
The scenery is also fantastic. The forests, hills and valleys are
beautifull and I love the old buildings and ruins, like the castle
at Larochette.
