After breakfast, we went by car to the nearby town of Bethlehem to
do some shopping. After the shopping we have a nice coffee with
cake and then we drive back to Clarens.
On our way back, I realize I forgot to go to the gameshop to write
the pictures from my digital camera to CD :-(

It's not al bad because now I have a good reason to go for a ride:-)
So in the afternoon I drive to Bethlehem again. The gameshop they can't
put my pictures on CD because they had no money to buy CD's.....
I drive to CompuNet to buy a CD and then I return. On my way back I stop
at the church of Bethlehem (sounds excotic)

Then I drive to the gameshop and copy the pictures. I did it myself
and did not have to pay anything today!
Then I drove back to Clarens to work on my website

After a nice bacon and eggs breakfast I checked my email and
drove to Clarens on the Harley. After sightseeing in Clarens I drove
back. It is for a Dutchman used to good tar roads not so common to
drive dirtroads like the one to Rehoboth guesthouse but to be honest,
if you're a little used to it, it is no problem at all.

The Harley on the road to Rehoboth
Back at Rehoboth, we did a little service on the bike, checked the
oil, the spark plugs and cleaned the air filter.
In the afternoon, we went to the Game farm of Matt and Sheila,
good friends of Han and Wim.
In a bakkie (the South African name for a pickup truck), we drove
from their farmhouse to the area where we wanted to walk.

In the back of the bakkie
It is realy beautiful, zebra's, gnu's, blesboks and wonderful
plants and trees and a great scenery.
It is so nice to walk in nature, with zebra's and blesboks beside
the path on the hills on a bright sunny day with good friends.

In the evening we were invited by Hilda and Jaap, who came from
Holland 30 years ago, to eat "boerenkool met worst" a typical
Dutch meal. We had a very pleasand evening with them.
Maybe the biggest advantage of traveling is meeting all those
wonderfull people in foreign countries.

Today I have been in the most beautiful church I have ever been
and probably ever will be.
The church Han and Wim go to is in a cave in the rocks near Matt
and Sheila's house. The sun shines just into the cave in the morning
and it has a great view over the green hillsides. No architect can
beat this!

After the service, we drive to the house of Simon Addy and Lyn
Hoyle, two local artist who turned their new house in an art
gallery for the weekend.

After a nice sandwich and a good glass of wine at the exhibition,
we went back to Rehoboth to have a braai (South African word for
BBQ) and a walk in the countryside.
We are very fortunated if you compare our lifes with that of
some other people close by, like on the outskirts of Clarens.
