Because the temperature this day could be over 35 degrees Celcius, I wanted to make an early start.
Normaly breakfast in this hotel is at eight AM but when I told the manager of the hotel I wanted to leave early, he offered me to prepare breakfast a little earlier. Very nice!

Before breakfast, I had loaded my luggage on the bike already so after breakfast and checking out, I left at eight AM on my ride home.

A fully loaded bike, ready to ride home

On my way North I enjoyed riding the CR320 and the N7C. the roads here in Luxembourg are realy great and the panoramas you get when you are on top of a hill are marvellous.

Another fantastic panorama in Luxembourg

Because fuel is much cheaper in Luxembourg then in Belgium and the Netherlands, I fill my tank before I leave Luxembourg and because it is so hot, I also buy some botles of water.

After I left Luxembourg I used the freeway for a while but when it was getting to busy for my liking, I left the freeway for some country roads.

Nice road in the East of Belgium

On country roads, you can meet country cattle and so did I. Another herd of cows forced me to stop and to get to the side of the road to let them pass. No problem. It's their territory.

Near Namur, I stopped next to a church in a small village called Sart d'Avril for a drink and an opportunity to walk around a bit after riding a few hours.

Because it is so hot, I try very hard to avoid getting caught in a traffic jam on the freeway. Riding in a traffic jam on the freeway with 36 degrees Celcius in full motorcycle gear is no fun. While avoiding haevy treffic I was riding on the freeway now and then but most of the time I rode on secondary roads.

The last fifty kilometer I was riding on the freeway and when I was getting thirsty and I had to pee, I stopped at a road restaurant, just before Antwerp. It was very expensive at €6.50 for a cappuccino and a piece of apple pie.

Less then an hour later I was home again, parked the BMW in the garage and took a cold drink from the fridge.
