Friday morning, half past seven. I wake up and hear the birds singing again. I make a cup of coffee and some breakfast and open the windows to let the fresh forrest air in.

Ready to leave

It's a beautifull morning. After breakfast I get a shower, brush my teeth and then I pack my things back in the panniers of the bike.

I lock the house, put on my helmet and gloves and before nine o'clock I'm on the road again.

First I drive to Ommen, past the market square and across the bridge, on to the N347 to Nijverdal. It is a beautifull road with farms and forrest, wide views and green fields, with sometimes a small river cutting through the fields.

Green fields surrounded by forrest

Past Nijverdal, Rijssen and Markelo I drive to Lochem. Then I get on the N312 to Ruurlo and the N315 to Zelhem. The scenery is great. So wide with no big city buildings on the horizon. It's is very quiet on the road. Lucky for me because a traffic jam would be a problem with my broken cooling system.

I go to Zelhem because I now a good motorcycle shop there, Motoport Zelhem. Because I have a big change on traffic jams on my way home, I want my cooling systems fixed now. Just before eleven o'clock I park the bike in front of Motoport Zelhem.

Motoport Zelhem

I walk to the workshop and when I explain my problem to the chief mechanic, He promisses to help me. I get a coffee and after a while one of the mechanics starts working on the bike. The disadvantage of a GoldWing is obvious now. You have to remove a lot of plastic before you can work on the bike :-( but after some work the test done by the mechanic show that the fan is OK but the switch to start it does not work. I'm lucky because they have one in stock so after less than an hour the bike is running fine again and after paying the bill I'm on the road again, thanks to the great guys from Motoport Zelhem.
