Autumn trip in Zeeland

Today I had a day off from work and the weather is really nice. The wind is hard but it is dry and the sun is shining all day. It is about 61 degrees Fahrenheit. I have a lot to do today but the weather is so nice, I HAVE to go for a ride.
Unfortunately the Wing is not available because it is getting serviced so I take my wife's Honda CB400T (build in 1978 so it's a classic). That is no problem because for some of the narrow dike roads I plan to ride, a small bike is perfect.

As usual, I ignore the highway and get on the old road to the West. I'm living in WestBrabant, a province in the South of the Netherlands and Zeeland is the province West of where I live.
I follow the two lane road to Kruiningen and passed Goes and then I try to find a road between the cities Vlissingen and Middelburg. I find a narrow one lane road that ends near Oost Souburg and from there it's a straight road to Koudekerke.

In Koudekerke I ask direction to Westkapelle, the most Western village in Walcheren, on the North Sea shore. It is easy to find and soon I drive on a nice two lane road to Westkapelle. Then, somewhere between Koudekerke and Westkapelle the road is closed for repairs so I try a small one lane road that is signposted as the bicycle route to Westkapelle.

It is a realy nice road. Unfortunately it is a little muddy because the farmers are busy getting the sugar beet harvest in. I have to drive slow but now I can enjoy the typical "Zeeuwse" scenery.

Beautiful isn't it!

After a while I see the church tower of Westkapelle. It is funny, a whole swarm of birds is circling the tower.
