We parked the bikes on the parking in front of the watchtower and had some good exercise, climbing the tower, all the way to the top. But is was worth it. The view was stunning.

When we climbed back to ground level and regained our breath, we drove on, over the bridge to "Goeree-Overflakkee" and past Nieuwe Tonge to Herkingen. Past some modern windmills, we drove on a very narrow road until we entered the little village of Herkingen.

In Herkingen we planned a lunch stop in restaurant "Piet Hein", the restaurant in the marina. We made reservations because we all wanted to have mussels, the local speciality of Zeeland.
