Eating mussels in Herkingen
Eating mussels in Herkingen

It is a very nice restaurant with a friendly staff.
First we had to rearrange the tables so we could eat together and then we had some drinks, mostly Cola light, we had to drive so no beer yet :-(
Then we had as much mussels as we wanted with salad and French fries.
Sitting on a terrace in the sun with a bunch of nice people, eating mussels and looking at the yachts in the marina is not a bad life ;-) We had a great lunch and after an hour or so, we finished lunch and headed for the bikes again. We split up in two groups again and left Herkingen.

After driving to the Brouwersdam, a part of the famous "Delta-works" we went of the main road and over a secondary road over the dam, we drove past the water with people windsurfing and sailing, to Schouwen-Duiveland.
On Schouwen-Duiveland we stopped at a gas staion to fill our tanks again and the we drove on, on the dyke to a tower on the side of the dyke, "Plompe Toren".

From Plompe Toren we drove on to the Oosterschelde dam and halfway this dam we stopped at the Isle "Neeltje Jans".
On the parking we lined-up the bikes for a group picture.
